Enrich your life and lives of others

Your time and talents will be put to good use when you join us as a volunteer at Friendship Village. What you offer really does make a difference in the lives of our residents. And what you get back — well, that can make a real difference in your own life.

We want to make the best match of our Volunteer Program to your individual skills and interests, so we offer a wide range of possibilities. And we offer them for all kinds of people: adults, children, students, groups — even our own residents, many of whom volunteer either within Friendship Village or out in the local area. So what makes sense for you? Here are just a few of the ways you could help out:

  • Act as an escort on trips
  • Shop for groceries
  • Organize some arts and crafts
  • Lead games and sports
  • Read to a resident
  • Bring in your pet, especially if it's trained and certified as part of a pet therapy program
  • Share your computer skills
  • Write letters for our residents
  • Assist us in the business office

We have lots of other opportunities, too, plus we welcome your ideas. We'd love to create a customized program based on your particular interests. Play an instrument? Sing? Like to garden or cook? Maybe you're an expert flower arranger. Maybe you'd like to bring in your kids. Whatever your hobby, whatever you want to share, we can put together a way to make it happen.
